RED TAPE etc.

Well, I've been approved by Manitoba Health for the surgery except for them wanting me to pay $8000 in physicians costs. Needless to say I am appealing this decision in writing.  It was faxed in and dropped off yesterday, now I wait again.  After writing a heart wrenching letter ( or at least heart wrenching for me to write ) it was suggested to me that I should include a picture of myself in my underwear in the appeal to prove my point. Needless to say, this was not a suggestion I appreciated.  It's hard enough to live with being obese but to be told by someone else that a picture of you in your underwear would prove a point, well that's a hard pill to swallow.  It's hard enough to keep up your confidence, but that would have been a confidence killer.  I really was quite angry about this suggestion.

But I will carry on, waiting for a response to my appeal and looking for hotels near the hospital just in case !
