Hello! My name is Jacquelyne, but everyone calls me Jackie. I have been over weight since I was 12 years old. I like most people on this site have tried diet after diet, and joined a few gyms. I did not have much success,in 2007 I had a RNY gastric bypass, I was sick from the start. A two day hospital stay turned into a 5 day stay,I was told my pouch was emptying slowly. Within the next year following surgery,I was sick off and on ,I only lost about 85 pounds. Weight loss was at a stand still. I had terrible indigestion, and when I burped it smelled gross. I had an endoscopy,I was told the food was getting trapped in my pouch. I asked that the staples be removed, but I was told that couldn't be done. In 2014 I had my gallbladder removed and another endoscopy performed. The doctor said my pouch was very large at the time. So I have been thinking about getting a revision for over a year now. I have to admit I'm a little scared! I did research on a few surgeons, and then one day I was sweeping the kitchen floor and I was totally out of breath,I was at my breaking point. So I called Dr.Greenbaum's office to have a consultation. He was very nice, and basically told me how it is,he took my measurements, and said I would have to go on two separate protein shake diets. The first one is to loose some weight and the second one is to shrink my liver two weeks prior to surgery.Tina in the office is very helpful, with the insurance company. I would recommend south jersey bariatrics,to anyone in the south jersey area. It's about an hour drive to his office, but I think it is worth the hike. He has patients that come from other states,to get their surgery done. I start my shake diet next week on Tuesday. I have to loose 20-30 lbs first and maintain the weight loss. I have several doctors to see for clearances in the next few months. So I'll be busy. Thanks for visiting my page that is all for now
