Gastric bypass with Dr Yasrebi in Jacksonville, Florida

 Well folks, after YEARS of waiting my GATRIC BYPASS was performed by Dr Yasrebi, in Jacksonville, Florida.  My big day was February 7th, 2011. It's my new birthday as far as I'm concerned.  My whole life changed on that day!  My heavy weight was 425lbs, but over the years I had done EVERY diet possible.  My best luck seemed to be weight watchers.  I had tried for a gastric bypass a few times, only to be met with it wasn't covered each time.  I had gotten down to 386lbs when I saw Dr Yasrebi for the first time.  He was VERY DIFFERENT from any Dr I had ever seen!  He is VERY old school.  He really cares about each person he sees.  He deals in QUALITY outcomes, not QUANITY.  He wanted me to take off some more weight before surgery.  I believe it is easier during and after surgery if you do, but I think his REAL aim is to see that you are dedicated enough to go through this! 
After I had gotten to 350lbs, and with AETNA insurance that was willing to pay, my February 27th 2011 date was set!  I was soooooooo ready!  I KNEW Dr Yasrebi was the man for me and things were going to be great!  I was Diabetic, taking multiple shots and a load of medication for all sorts of things.  I also had gout, which is NO FUN if you know anything about it...I was hoping with surgery some of these health issues would get better.....fingers crossed!
