13 Years!'

Jun 03, 2010

Hi All

It has been 13 years since my surgery. I bounce between 150-160lbs. I struggle with keeping the weight off.  I became frustrated because my insurance will not pay for the skin removal. I do not regret having my surgery.

5 Years!!

Jun 04, 2008

To know me is to know that for the last 5 years, I have been obsessed with my Weight Loss Surgery. (WLS)
Today marks a milestone for me; I have maintained my weight and healthy way of living. I am not at my all time lowest weight, but I do not wish to be a thin stick person who feels unhealthy.
I keep my weight steady between 150-160 depending on the time of year and lack of exercise.  I still struggle with my favorite foods and I pay the price LOL..  It was never a cure all for my problems, it was a way for me to lose the weight quickly and get on with the rest of my life.
Phase One is over, I know how to maintain my current weight and eating regime. It is now time to go into Phase Two. |
Phase Two is the removal of all excess skin; yes I am going to get rid of my security blanket of skin.
I am not sure of the exact date of the plastic surgery, can I even call it plastic surgery, more like Reconstructive surgery. I like body Morphing surgery.  My days as a Caterpillar are coming to a close; I will soon start cocooning, and then emerge the butterfly.  I just love a good metaphor!!
Thank you to all my loved ones who have been my rock, who have secretly rolled their eyes and say to themselves SHIT not another story about her WLS!!  Thank you for being there, picking me up when I was unable to make it one more step. Thank you for being the people who knew me when and still knows me now!!
