Hi everyone...I'm back! I just wanted to say thank you to my angel, Mary Baldwin, and all my new friends at AMOS for all their love and support. My surgery date was Thursday 2/22 and I had a open RNY proximal. I was released from the hospital just this afternoon at 3:00 pm but did not actually leave until almost 6 when my hubby arrived to pick me up. I have been doing better and better everyday although I am not completely 100%...more like 75. Anyway, I was a little hesistant leaving today because I had been unable to have a bm or even pass gas but the car ride home took care of that LOL. I really just wanted to say again how much I truly appreciate all the prayers and well wishes and especially the African Violets I received before I even went in to surgery from Lynette Reis...Lynette you will never know how much calmer I became going into surgery because of your very kind and selfless gesture. I am forever in your debt. Mary, the roses were beautiful and definitely made recovery more bearable and to you I pledge my undying gratitude. If anyone wishes to contact me about my experience to date I would be more than willing to share the details. My heart is touched by the willingness of everyone here to share their experiences, their lives, their well wishes, prayers and genuine love that I feel God has truly blessed me. THANK YOU ALL! The percoset keeps me tired so its off to bed for me...goodnight!!

Good Afternoon all. I just spoke with Jacqui. She is doing well. She feels much better today. She has walked laps around the nurse's station and is drinking her water. She is getting the pain meds that she needs. She is looking forward to coming home on Sunday. Also, she wishes to thank Lynette Rice for the beautiful flowers. I will give Jacqui a call tomorrow and update again. Take care and thank you for keeping Jacqui in your thoughts and prayers. Mary

I just spoke with Jacqui. She does seem groggy. She is in a lot of pain. The surgery lasted from about 1 1/2 - 2 hours. I will call her again tomorrow and let you all know how she continues to do. She did say that her doctor said "everything went like a charm". That sounds good to me. Please continue to pray for her.
