I don't usually talk about me much... I am usually all about helping others.
For now I will just say... I am 33 and have battled weight issues since I was about 5. My highest weight was approx 335lbs a few years ago. I am right at 6 feet tall.
I have been researching WLS for several years now. All too often I see so many jump into something so serious. They have no idea what they are getting into... No matter how much research I have done, I still know there will be things that will come as a total suprise... It is time though. Past time... I am ready to live...
A life long of obesity has started breaking my body down... I failed my body, so it has started to fail me...
Diabetes Type 2 (Taking 2 meds for this)
Severely High Cholesterol (Doc. said he had never seen it so high on anyone.) (Taking 1 med.)
Beginning Stage Kidney Disease (Diabetes related, taking 1 med. for this and will for life.)
Moderate/Severe Sleep Apnea (Cpap) Trying to comply...
G.E.R.D & Hiatal Hernia. These two usually go hand and hand I was told... (Taking 1 med.)
Severe Depressive Disorder and P.T.S.D (Taking 1 med.) Coping...
Wow, that was 6 prescription meds incase you didn't count...
And lets not forget, PAIN! Sometimes severe in back, legs and feet.... Also severe sensativity in feet now. I refuse to break down so badly that I become immobile!!!
Someone of my age should never have so many illnesses and medications to manage everyday! YAY! Go me, I finally said it!
