I'm a 31 year old mechanic in Houston, Texas. I've been overweight for as long as I can remember. Years and years of bad eating habits, coupled with an extremely slow metabolism rate have placed me in the position that I am in today. When I initially went into the surgeons office, I weighed 389 lbs. Now I'm down to 353. I stand at an above normal height of 6'4" tall, so alot of people tell me that I carry the weight a little better then someone who is short. I think they're just being nice.

This past January, a revelation hit me like a speeding 18 wheeler. I had just caught my wife of one and a half years cheating on me, and was in the midst of a physical breakdown. My blood pressure was 165/110, and I was on the verge of being hospitalized with congestive heart failure. I think it was the accumilation of stress, and having to deal with a cheating spouse of whom I had planned spending the rest of my life with. At that point I realized; I need to take care of MYSELF.

After jumping through the various "insurance hoops", This is where I stand today. Waiting on December 20th to get here. Preparing all of my paperwork for my time off from work, ect....
