Hi, I am very excited to be approaching my surgery date.Oct.20th.I lost10lbs.from the first time I saw my surgeon. went on my shakes about a week ago, getting through thanksgiving was very hard as we had the whole family here, 13 of us all together.the worst of it was preparing meals the days before and the days after. thanksgiving dinner I ate a very small amount of food but wasn't able to resist the pumpkin pie,yes it did have whip cream on it 
and that seemed to slow the scale down some, but recovered. As of today since I started the shakes I have lost 9lbs. so all together 19lbs are gone forever.
Can't wait to get my band in.
I live in Williams Lake B.C. Canada,and would love to hear from all of you. My hobby's are camping in the summer and quilting the rest of the year but also have many other interest . My surgery will be done at false creek Vancouver B.C. I have to pay for it myself because my insurance will not cover lap band, or another wls.
I have have many thoughts like "will this really work, or will I fail this also" I need encouragement and support and will offer the same to others.
