So I guess this is were I tell everyone a little about myself. Well foremost, I am a mother and a wife. I love my dearest friends and love to have a good time. I have been battling obesity for most of my life. I have fought my own drug addictions as that was a way for me to be thin. Nearly 10 years ago, I realized I had more to life for and was able to put that part of my life behind me. As an unfortunate side effect my wieght nearly doubled and I have been gaining ever since.
I decided about 6 years ago to have the gastric bypass surgery, and just as I was getting scheduled for it; my insurance company at the time decided it was no longer a benefit. Lovely little thing to find out when you are sooooo close to it; only to have it yanked away from you.
Devistated, I began to try to find a way to have the surgery. Then in 2007 I started with a company that offered it as part of the medical plan. Woo Hoo!! So again I am working towards my ultimate goal. Writing this, I am almost 6 months in the new year 2008. And I am again hoping soon for a surgery date......
