Hi Everyone....just a quick update....I am finally home and out of the hospital....it was definately a long road...but the 2nd surgery fixed the problem with the staple line and I passed my second "swallow" test....hurray!! I am still pretty sore and will be much happier once i have this G-tube removed....but at least the drain is out and I am home. <G> Thanks so much to everyone for all of your well wishes and support!!!

11/3/01-Hi everyone! Great news to report on Jaynie! I FINALLY got to talk to her yesterday and she is doing great. She said her 2nd day post-op was the pits, but as of yesterday she was feeling like a new person! I was sooo relieved and happy to hear how well she is doing. She will be in the hospital for 7 days and then on fluids only for 6 WEEKS! Her doctor is much stricter than mine was! Well continue to keep her in your prayers as she goes through recovery and begins her new life! Diana

Hi Jayne, I had to write and say congrats on your surgery. I am originally from Pittsburgh but moved to Florida 10 years ago. I still bleed Black & Gold though, via satellite. My surgery is scheduled for 12/21/01. I too have Cigna PPO but they only took one week to approve once the paperwork was received. Well I hope we can become email friends & support for each other. Congrats & God Bless

Hi everyone. I am afraid I have no news on Jaynie. I called the hospital last night and they refused to tell me anything since I was not "immediate family". I tried again today and did get her room number 666 Bed 1 but someone else answered the phone when they put my call through. She said Jaynie was unable to come to the phone and asked if she could take a message. So I left my best wishes for her and then called patient information and asked to talk to the nurses station and they said if I wasn't immediate family they were not even allowed to patch me through to the nurses station. I am hoping everything is ok. Since she is in regular room she must be doing all right so I will try to quit worrying! Pray for her! I will try again tomorrow and see if I have better luck. Diana M.
