Alright so I'm about a week overdue of this post. I am down to 203 pounds. That totals 99 pounds since surgery and 127 pounds since my heaviest. What a change it's been! I have so much more energy...I exercise regularly even. I started off with a size 28 pant and now I wear a loose 14. I started off with a 4XL top and now it's a large (sometimes still an XL). My bra size changed from a 48 to a 38!! I am so happy I did this!
I went to the dr today to get labs done and they had to take another pic of me for their records since I look so different now. I got some good tips from her, the nutrionist and my fitness doc on how to break this major plateau! The past few weeks my weight loss had been at a stand still. Before that it had slowed as well. So now I'm trying some new thing so in a month I'll see what has changed. I would love to be down to 179 by my 7 month appointment but let's face it that's not realistic. So I hope to be that by my 8 month visit. It's worth a shot!

Well I weigh in at 214 pounds now which is 88 pounds less than I was the day of surgery. I am so happy I did this! I had a slow last month of losing but I know it happens. I still would love to be down to 165 pounds but would be content with 180. Only time will tell.
I just got back from Florida about a week ago and seen my grandma (who I haven't seen since November). She was shocked at how I've changed. I had to buy some summer clothes down there since all the summer stuff I had here is way too big. I even fit into a size medium shorts!! Sure it was that brand and only that style but I was happy with that! I am loving my new found self confidence.
I even started ny own business with SimplyFun. I love it! I have more energy and play with my son every minute of the day. I love it!! My husband seems to enjoy my new confidence as well, lol.
So I'm hoping by my cousin's wedding on April 11 I will be under 200 pounds. Since the weight comes off slow for me I hope it will happen. I would love to be at goal by my 1 year anniversary. Which would be 50 pounds in 7 months.

This morning I was very happy to see the scale read: 221.5 pounds!! How exciting!! I have lost 80.5 pounds since surgery and Nearly 100 pounds since my highest non-pregnancy weight that I knew of.
I workout at 6 days a week at the gym. I go 45 minutes to an hour of cardio and then 15-30 minutes of strength training. I still don't like going and battle to get there every morning but I manage to go. I do feel good afterwards - it's just the getting there that sucks, lol.
We leave for Florida on the 30th of January (my hubby's b-day) and will visit with my grandma and father-in-law. I haven't seen my father in law since 2004 and my grandma hasn't seen me since November. So it'll be interesting to see if they notice any change in me.
Right now I wear a size 14/16 top and 18/20 bottom. I can wear some 14/16 bottoms too. My bra size even went down 3 band sizes.
My labs were good. My calcium is good now so I only take 2 or 3 calcium a day. My vitamin A is still low so now I take 2 beta-carotene a day. My potassium is fine now so I stopped taking that pill.  I do still take 2 multi-vitamins, 2 ursodiol and 1 iron a day. I still frequently drink an Isopure for some protein when needed.
I even started a job! I am an independent consultant for SimplyFun. So if anyone is interested in having a SImplyFun party - let me know :)

I weighed myself and it was 234!!! How amazing is that?!?! I am SO HAPPY I did this for myself and my family. This year for Christmas I sent out a family portrait for our christmas cards. The first time in forever I was ok with sending out  picture with me in it! I looked at our family picture from last year...wow. That was the first time I could see the difference in myself. I weighed my highest then...about 320. So since surgery I have lost 68 pounds.
Christmas was wonderful! I focused on family...ate the right foods...no dumping in a LONG TIME...and I felt good. My uncle who is normally a keep quiet kinda guy said how great I looked...twice! It felt great to hear. My stepdad who is the same way said my face looks thinner even.
My birthday is this Saturday and I'll be 29 years old. I am excited to go out even! I'm just so happy! ;)

I weighed myself this morning and it the scale read 240.5!!! Yeah!!! So that's 61.5 lbs gone forever! I am on my way to a thinner me. The thin me that is trapped inside this obese body.
This weekend I went to a birthday party and had 3 people say that I look good. I don't know how to handle hearing that. I've never gotten compliments like that before. It was nice to hear though. Some people don't say anything about my weight loss for whatever the reason may be. I try not to focus on them though. My husband has been really supportive. He says how proud he is of me. I love hearing that.
I still am hoping to be down 15 pounds in about a  month. I would like to be down to 225 by the time we leave for FL on January 30th. We're going to visit my grandma and father-in-law. They should be shocked to see how I look by then!
I'm staying focused :)

Well now I weigh 246 pounds! So thats 56 pounds gone forever! I've been doing great at working out. I'm actually really proud of myself for doing it as often and as hard as I do. I still don't like it though. Not one bit. But I know it's vital to my health and recovery so I keep at it. I keep up on my vitamins too. I need to get focused on my protein drinks and water intake again. It's always a battle but I think I'm staying strong. I'm hoping that by my 4 month anniversary I will be down to 225 pounds. So I'm staying focused.

Well I weighed myself this morning and it showed 252!!! So I've lost 50 pounds in 10 weeks. So right now I'm happy with that. I weigh less right now than I did when I got married over 4 years ago.
In the past 9 days I have went to the gym 8 days (the other day I was shopping for Black Friday, lol). I've been doing 1 hour of cardio between the bike and ellptical and then some weight training too. So I am REALLY proud of myself for that. It's not easy for me to get up early and head straight to the gym and keep at it. But I've been doing it. Brian is so proud of me too. That's an even bigger motivator for me.
I checked my BMI today too. It's currently 41.9 which means it's down 8.4 points. Wow. That's amazing to me.
Other than things are good. Still not hungry and have occasional head hunger. But I do eat more and keep up on the vitamins and Isopure drinks and concentrate on getting all the water in. Every day I need to stay focused. It'll all be worth it in the end.

It's been 3 weeks since I last updated. I weighed myself this morning and it said 260.5. At 7 weeks post op I weighed 261.5. So in 3 weeks I've lost only 2.5 pounds. I am getting very discouraged and frustrated. We were on vacation for about 2 weeks so I didn't use the gym but we were very active and walked alot. I tried more foods to see what I could tolerate so maybe that was where I went wrong. So now I'm back to basics (or so to say). I am drinking 2 Isopures a day to get 80 grams of protein and making sure I get AT LEAST 64 oz of water...more if possible. And yesterday I went back to the gym and did 45 minutes which burned about 370 calories. So we'll see what happens at my 10 week weigh in.

When I went to all the doctors for my 6 week follow up everyone seemed happy with my results. I got tips on what to do from my exercise doc, my surgeon don't need to see me till after the new year and the nutrionist just told me I can eat normal foods.

When I got the results of my blood work it showed my calcium level reflected a mild defiency (but I wasn't taking any calcium for a couple weeks before that). I am now taking a new calcium vitamin I like and I take it 3X a day. It showed my uric acid is still  high, but now I am getting in my 64 oz of water and I wasn't then. It showed my potassium is low so I need to take a once a day pill for that which I'll start tomorrow. Lastly it showed my Vitamin A was low so I will start taking a beta carotene supplement tomorrow as well. Ugh. All these pills. It seems like that's all I have time for is pills!

My spirits aren't the best since i feel my weigh loss is way too slow. I sure hope it starts to speed up so I don't feel like a total failure. I thought the message boards would be more supportive as they were to Lauri but I don't find them supportive. Not many people seem to want to help with tips and advice. I think I need to look into another message board and maybe some local support groups. It helps that I journal alot. It seems to keep me focused.

Well I weighed myself this morning on my usual day and it read 263!!! It looks like I broke through that plateau now. So that's 39 pounds in 6 weeks. I'm happy about that.
I go see all the docs this Thursday (surgeon, medical doc, nut, exercise doc) so I sure hope they are all happy with my progress. We'll see how my labs are. I haven't been keeping up with the calcium vitamins. I need new ones. These are so awful!!
I'm still drinking Isopure for now but since I get to start on more of a regular diet I'm hoping that can stop soon too. It does get expensive. I'm working on the fluid intake and getting much better. I bet I'm close to what I need each day.
I didn't exercise at the gym this weekend but kept very busy so I feel good about that. I plan to go this morning or afternoon. I am going to shoot for 6 miles on the bike by the end of this week.
I had a WOW moment too...for the first time in a long time. I tried on my husband's Tommy Hilfiger comfy pants a size XL and they were baggy!! I had a hard time wearing a 2XL...they were snug. So I was happy.
All in all things are going good. Only sick the one time on turkey. I'm starting to try more. I have lots of questions for the docs this week so I hope to get them all anwsered.

I weighed in yesterday morning (at my home scale of course) and it read 269.5. So that's a total loss of 32.5 pounds in 5 weeks. So that's not bad, but I guess with my initial loss I thought it would be more by now.

I started working out at the gym again on Monday. I road the bike for 31 minutes, which was 5 miles. I went yesterday and I did 5.6 miles and it took me 28 minutes. So I'll go again today and slowly keep on increasing.

Next week I get to start eating regular food and I'll meet with all the docs again so I should have big updates then. I was hoping to be down 40 pounds by next week and it don't look like that's gonna happen. I'm trying to stay positive (it may not seem like it but I am). I only weigh myself once a week now and that's helping.

Last Thursday I got sick for the first time. Ugh. I ate some shaved lean turkey breast lunch meat. After I ate it it felt wierd but I didn't get sick until about 2 hours later or so. I threw up about 5 times and felt better right after. Not sure if I'll ever eat that again though. Maybe it was too soon, I don't know.

I've been having a hard time taking my calcium vitamins. I need to take 3 a day and it's so gross I don't want to take it. So I'm gonna talk to the nutrionist about it and see what other options I have. Still working on that fluid intake too...it all takes time.
