I am so mad at myself, I have been doing fantastic I was down another 3 lbs since my fill earlier this week and was generally thinking that all was well. Last night I did the girls night out thing and had 1 Mojito I figured with as good as I have been I could splurge a little. I also had a chicken soft taco, but did not quite eat the whole thing but I still thought I was well within a reasonable calorie range. But much to my dismay this morning the scale was up 3 lbs. How can that little tiny splurge have caused that big of a weight gain, I am sooooooooo angry.

Okay so today I went in for my first fill, I now have 4 cc's in my band, I am hoping that will kick the weight loss into gear, I havent really lost a whole lot the last few weeks. I am down a total of 17 lbs since surgery, I guess I really can't complain because at least I have lost but I was hoping for a little larger numbers. I am really hoping to be down at least another 25 lbs by the time we leave on vacation, I really want to ride the rides at Disneyworld with my kids without being super uncomfortable.

Today has really stressed me out, I spent half the day in the clinic with my youngest daughter. She fell off the monkey bars at school and broke her arm. On top of that I had taken my 6 month old cocker spaniel puppy in to get neutered today and the vet clinic royally pissed me off but that is another story for another day. Thank goodness my poor baby finally fell asleep b/c all they gaver her for the pain was tylenol. They gave the 30 year old man in the bed next to her with a broken foot tylenol with codeine, go figure I thought men were supposed to be tougher than 6 year old little girls.

well I am heading in to week 4 post op and I really need a fill, I am feeling much more hungry and am eating more than I had started off with initially. I try to stick with 6 small meals but the portion sizes aren't nearly as satisfying. I am beginning to feel like I am failing, I need to get a scale maybe that will motivate me better. I felt so defeated today I wanted to chew my own arm off. I am still eating less than I was pre surgery but I really need to be better.

Had my Post op follow up appt today and all is well, I have lost 12 lbs total so all in all not too shabby for the first week!!!

I had been having difficulties with nausea ever since I came home from the hospital, finally today I called the doctors office because I gagged even when drinking water. Dr Monash had me come right in, he said I had air trapped in the band so he accessed my port and drew out a syringe and a half full of air. I felt better immdiately and was able to keep down a protein shake and some soup tonight and now I feel a whole lot better. I guess it is fairly rare for this to happen, my doctor stated he has only had a few patients that this has happened to.

Well I made it home. The surgery was so quick it was almost mind boggling. Having never had surgery before so this was a whole new experience for me. The only issues I really had were some Nausea and vomiting but other than that things went really well.  My belly is still pretty tender and kind of swollen but it hasn't slowed me down too much. I am so thankful that it is done and over with and I am anxious to join the losers bench!!

Well tomorrow is the big day and I have to say I am a bit nervous, I have never undergone any major surgery before so this will be a first. My surgery was bumped out until 12:30 in the afternoon so I am not looking forward to going all that time without drinking any water and I am such a freak about deoderant and lotion and they informed me I cannot put on anything after my shower which really sucks but oh well I guess the few hours of going au natural will be soooooo worth it in the end.

It took longer to get the surgery scheduled than it did to get the insurance approval but oh well, it is scheduled now. April 13, I am soooo excited.

I got my insurance approval yesterday I am so excited, I called my doctors office but they have to actually receive the fax from the insurance company with the approval before they can schedule me for surgery.  So hopefully within the next 24-48 hours I will have a surgery date!!
