"My first impression of Dr. Butler was one of reaffirmation from the things (good) that I read on the website. Dr. Butler is a very compasionate and understanding man with a sense of humor, but at the same time, is strictly business. Since I am a smoker, he told me that I had to stop smoking four to six weeks prior to surgery which is tentatively set for Oct. 2. And if I think I can fool him, I am wrong. He has sent people home who were on the table waiting for surgery because he found out they smoked. Well, here goes -
My second meeting with Dr. Butler was the next day (Saturday) at an SOS meeting - in which there were approximately 50-60 people in attendance. I was VERY impressed with the man at that point. I know I am going to be in good hands, the surgery doesn't scare me because I know he has the best team working for him - the only thing that scares me is I hope that I can stop the smoking.
Judy, his office manager is very friendly as so was Yvette. I called the office on Friday, Aug. 17 and asked Judy if I had to wait until after I attended my SOS meeting to set an appointment. She said she had a cancellation that afternoon if I would like to come in. I left work and was on my way. After the initial consultation with Dr. Butler, Judy let me pick my own date (six weeks away). I'm sure I could have gotten it done sooner if I didn't smoke. Boo. I thoroughly enjoyed the SOS meeting and the opportunity to meet his and Judy's
creator.
