Hello My Name is Jen,
My story goes something like this...I was much smaller then I am now until I got hurt on the job, ended up having 3 back surgeries being bed ridden for almost 4 yrs and gained almost 300 pounds. I went from 180 lbs to 464 lbs amd there was NO life left in me. I didnt care if I got out of bed did dishes,you name it I didnt wanna do it or go there. Finally I talked to my back Dr about "gastric bypass" he said that would be great for me so I went to a seminar about 2 hours away, sat in the seminar for another 2 hours. Went back home did the paper work ( life story I call it so many diff forms) mailed it in got a call from them had sugery the following Friday. The end of July will be 3 yrs that I had surgery and I went down 264 pounds. I cant eat hardly any meats and can do veggies most of the time but can live off of crackers, cheese, chips and anything that crunches I can do but not real food. My problem is I went down to 200 pounds but I have noticed that I am getting back up there :( my weight now is235 and it is really worring me. Does anyone have any suggestions on what is going on with my body or whatever?? It is driving me nuts and depression is eatting away at me again. On the good side of it all I am no longer bed ridden and can walk on my own now without the help of a walker or my elec wheelchair.Going back a lil bit, I had surgery on Friday night, went home Sunday morning then went out to eat with family Tuesday night( soup broth ONLY)..ended up having to go to the Ladies room so step- daughter went with me and as we came out I started getting really weak and felt like I was gonna throw up so I out my hand on my said ( drain tube site area) told daughter to go finish eatting and to let her dad know I wasnt feeling well that I would be out in the front waiting for them to take theri time, well as I sat down my hand felt raelly wet and sticky so when I look I was covered in blood and puse. The waitress started freaking out, I was rushed to the ER and come to find out I had a mass in my stomach the size of a softball. They cut me 6 inches wide and 12 in deep and pulled the infection out. NASTY!!! after that was over( 2 weeks in hospital 2 weeks nurse coming 3 times a day) I did great and have lost all that weight like I was saying b4 and now it is coming back on and I dont know what to do to get it down again and lose even more weight then I did.
