Okay K K Kaaaay!

What's up lovely people.  I decided to post today because I missed the mark last month.  Just wanted to say that my Thanksgiving was sad.  This was the first year that I didn't spend with my family (me, my mother, and my sister).  I was so depressed.  Mother didn't want to cook Thanksgiving dinner so my sister and I said that we would.  Then she changed her mind and decided she didn't want to go to my sister's house.  So my sister and I decided that it didn't make any sense for us to cook if mother wasn't coming so we made other plans.  Well, mother decided to cook some crazy a** stuff for Thanksgiving and I definitely didn't want to eat it so I didn't go over to her house so I was with sweetpea and my Godkids and my son.  Needless to say I didn't even eat anything.  So I guess that was good.  I maybe ate a slice of ham, collard greens and squash casserole.  I ended up baking 4 -5 cakes Thanksgiving weekend (I did really good by not eating but a couple of slices with ice cream).  So I would say that Thanksgiving was successful as far as me eating food was concerned.

GOOD NEWS!  I found a group of ladies that are in my support group here in Augusta that go to the Y (which I'm a member of) and I will be joining them starting next week.  It's so great to have exercise buddies!  I'm so excited.  Oh, let me give you the information - this group on yahoo is AWESOMEIt is led by this awesome woman named Carla Hall and the whole staff for Dr. Blaney and Dr. Chasen (my surgeon) are wonderful people.  If you want to join, it's [email protected], Check us out.

Also, one of my friends from off of OH is having her surgery today and I just realized that she's here in Augusta at Trinity Hospital so tomorrow I will be going to visit her (ssshhh - it's a surprise) after I get off from work the only problem is that I don't know her real name BUT there is one floor at the hospital dedicated to Weight Loss surgery so it shouldn't be hard to find her.  So once again I'm excited.

Oh, forgot to tell you that in October I did a 3-mile Walk From Obesity and it was great.  I don't have any pics (I've got to do better) but my 6-year old son came with me and we had a blast.  It felt good to do the walk without huffing and puffing and my knees not hurting.  It was a great accomplishment for me.

Well, my one year surgerversary will be December 29, 2010.  I haven't loss the 100lbs I wanted to but I'm still striving for that goal and to eventually get down to 130lbs like Dr. Chasen wants me to.  I'm excited about the Christmas holidays coming up and being off from work for a whole week (something I haven't done since I've been employed here at my job for 11 years).  So once again .....I'M EXCITED - what about you!

Love you guys!
Miracles & Blessings
