New Beginnings

Has been one week since my surgery and am feeling good!  Am so glad that it is behind me and am ready to
work toward the future.  Have learned a lot in the last week and some of it has to do with WLS but more with just
life and relationships.  My mom and I have became a lot closer in the last week.  Also my husband of 30 years
was a complett surprise to me.  He has been so good to me over the last week that I feel like our relationship
has been renewed.  He helped me with all of the IV poles walkings and getting to the bathroom and was right there
helping when I was sick one whole night.  He has taken care of me with such love and patience.  I guess that
I have taken for granted what a wonderful man he really is and how God has changed his life so much.  I feel closer
to him now more than I ever have. 
Am just so excited about the future!  I know that this is just the beginning of a new relationship with food but am
looking forward to being healthier.  Looking forward to being able to swim with the grandkids and to keep up with
my husband when he walks.  Also want him to be proud of me being on his arm.  Looking forward to being in church
and not feeling condemed about how my body and overeating is a sin.  Want to get this under my feet for so many
reasons.  Today is a good day!!!  Tomorrow will take care of itself!
