I am twenty years old and I am from New Jersey. For most of my life I have been overweight, actually since about 2nd grade. I went through grammar school and high school, feeling as if I missed out on something, because I was never more popular, or included in things that other girls were included in, and I think that it had a big thing to do with how I felt about myself, and how outgoing I WASN'T. I was banded on May 22,2007. Now, I have a chance to start all over, to make a new life for myself, and go through life happy. I can't wait to see myself one year from now, because I have been this way for so long, and now I finally have hope that I will meet my goals and dreams. I owe it all to my mother, and also to my amazing surgeon, Dr. Stephanie Vaimakis.
