It's been a while since I posted. I have a reservation for tonight's seminar at Sacred Heart Hospital. I'm nervous because I have to go alone - my husband can't go with me because he has to watch the boys (ages 3 & 2).  This day can't pass fast enough.

Well my name is Karen - I'm 45 years old, married and have 4 children (ages 22, 18, 18 months & 6 months). I'm an HR professional in the Federal system and I seem to have a non-stop life...I've had weight problems almost all my adult life, and have dieted most of my adult life.  I am going to try for the lap-band procedure if I can qualify. There seems to be so many hoops to jump through, and its complicated because I've just moved back to the pensacola area, so I am still trying to get established with a family care physician while trying to get the ball rolling on this. I imgaine I am really looking at Fall before I can get things together and qualify. I know my insurance pays, so that's half the battle I guess. I'll try to keep things updated here on my journey. I saw a surgeon last week, but I didn't feel comfortable with him, so I am starting the process over again with a surgery group recommended by my GYN.  more later ........
