Almost to goal!

Jan 24, 2009

I had a TT/BL on 11-17 and they took 11 pounds of skin my from stomach.  It was a fairly easy recovery, no real major problems or concerns with the recovery.  The worst issue was a few really small holes that kept leaking, which was just a pain to deal with, but no pain (after the first two weeks) or infection involved.  I was totally healed by 6-7 weeks and was back at work in two weeks, but needed to wait three weeks to really feel totally up to it (if I had it to do over again!).  I lost more weight after the plastic surgery.  I am now at about 153-155 and holding.  In pants I am now mostly in size 8's, but I can wear a couple of 6's, some 10's and even a 12 or two!  Smaller sizes are weird!!  You have to try things on for sure.  It's not like the old 2X-3X's that I used to by.  They seemed to run more true to size and consistent, no matter what store I bought them in!  In shirts I almost always wear all Larges, but I do have some Mediums, depending on the material.  I need the Large to accomodate my 'girls'!!  The BL did make them quite a bit smaller, but they are very perky now and still a size D.  Overall, I feel fantastic!!  I seem to be holding where I am and I think my body is done losing, but I wouldn't mind losing 10 more for cushion.  I have no regrets!!

I would like to have an brachioplasty and medial thigh lift, but that may have to wait a bit...it is so expensive!!  I know for sure I have another 10 pounds of skin that could go between those two areas (per my plastic surgeon's opinion).

By the way, if you are looking for the BEST plastic surgeon in the Dallas area...Dr. Brenda Draper is fantastic.  I LOVE her.  Her website is www.drdraper.com  If you have questions, just pm me.  I will post pics someday when I figure out how to do it!!
