I am five days out and I have lost 18lbs!!!!! I cannot believe it. I can wear pants that I haven't worn in some time now. I even went out today and brought a suit size 46. I know wear a size 52. This is my "Goal Suit". I cannot wait until I can fit it.

Well, I had my surgery Dec 12, 2009. Things went very well. I was up and walking 2 hours after surgery. I was doing so well that I walked back from my x-rays. They took be down to x-ray my pouch to be sure that everything was in order. While I was down there it was cold and lonely. My family was up stairs and I was starting to miss them. So after 30 minutes of waiting I decided to make my get away plan. I was feeling really good so I knew that I could make it back up stairs. The only problem that I had was the x-ray tech. She was watching everything. After a few more minutes another patient came in. Here was my chance to get away. They rolled the patient in and I grabbed my little pole with my IV and walked out of there. I left the wheelchair and I made it back to the 4th floor. I guess this should let you know how well I was feeling. I am so excited about this new journey. I am on my liquid diet right now. It’s not a problem for me because I am not hungry. It is hard for me to get in the protein in right now. But I am going to do it. I even walked 30 minutes on the treadmill last night.

I am just getting back from my pre-op testing. I found out today that my revision will be done by placing a band over the pouch I have from the RNY. I am glad that I know what is going to be done. I am ready to start this journy of getting my weight under control. I am looking forward to getting into a size 38 or maybe at 36. :-) 

I have a date for my revision surgery. Dec 21 is the big day. I will take all of my pre-op test on Dec 7th. I cannot wait to be back on the road to a healther me. I will post some pictures soon. I can not wait until I can post a picture of me wearing a size 36 pants.

I attended my first group meeting on Thursday. I am so excited about having my revision. I am looking forward to being healthly again and working on becoming a better me. Being able to buy smaller clothes is going to be exciting too!!!! I am currently wearing a size 46 pants. My goal is to get into a 36. If I do that I am going to be so happy!!!! This Wednesday I have one more appointment before my surgery is scheduled. I am hoping to have it in December.

Well, after months of going to the doctor, personal training and lots of other stuff I am approved for my revision. I am so excited to have a second chance to be healthy again. I don't want to be in this situation again. I cannot wait to start this journey!!!! 200lbs here I come.

On March the 4th I will be going to the hospital to see what type of revision I can have. I am excited that I am one step closer to have my revision. I have been walking through the stores looking at slacks a size 38 hoping that soon I'll be able to fit them. I'll post an update after my test on Wed.

Well, I guess I will take a few moments to post some information about myself. I had RNY March 2003. The morning of my surgery my weight was 367 pounds. My lowest weight was around 257 pounds. Today I am 305 pounds again. I am starting the journey all over again. I started noticing the weight gain about a year ago and started dieting and watching what I ate. That didn't work. I knew that something was wrong. My insurance at the time didn't cover the surgery and I couldn't afford to pay out of pocket. So I got laid off from that company and started working for another. Guess what! This company has insurance that covered WLS. As soon as I received my insurance cards in the mail I made an appointment to go see my doctor that performed my RYN. I had an upper GI test and found out that everything was ok with my pouch but it has stretched. That's why I can eat more that I could before. I am currently waiting on a call from my doctor so that he can do a test to see what revision he can do for me. I am so excited that there is something that can be done. I am waiting to start this journey over again.

I have been a member of OH for sometime now. I have been trying to post a message to this board for years know. I have finally figured out how to post. I am so excited. I will be posting more information about me very soon.
