On the way home from the hospital there was a billboard with a big fat juicey Hambugar with the works, and I let it pass.  Today I never new how good cottage cheese tasted or tomatoe soup or how good a glazed carrot recipe could look.  Every movie I watch has a family dinner with food.  Every commercial has butter dripping off shrimp.  I feel like Custard at Little Big Horn lol. 
One thing I remember just before I went out for my surgery I asked everyone if they had said their prayers that morning and I heard them say yes and that was the last thing I remember.
I feel pretty good just weak need to get my water in.  My surgery area is a little sore and my hand is a little swollen and hurts where the IV was but its all just a little and thats not much.The weather in Utah is cold and windy so walking been out.

Well tomrrow is the big day everyone and yes I'm feeling that scarry feeling inside. I feel like "I'm ready you can break my arm now."  Anyway I was at 290lb now im at 275lb.  Last night my son told me he's would be going to Iraq on May 13, 2007 on Mother's day the military is so kind.  Anyway I will be thinking of all you brave souls keep me in your prayers.  And also are beloved men and women who serve our country. 

Well I'm on the Atkin's diet for the 3rd day. I can tell I have lost some weight already.  April 25th I go to my surgery class, Not sure what that is all about?  There will be another weight lose surgery class with my doctor.  I quit drinking diet Pop which im going to miss I think.  And I need to start walking but the weather has been cold in Utah.  I feel a little guilty because my daughter's hasn't been approved yet and she has been working on it longer than me. 

So my first class was 03-29-07.  There where three other ladies in the class with me.  Dr. Simper went over the risk of the surgery and the benifits.  Then we where weighted and he wanted to see how large my liver was.  He told me to go on South beach, Slim fast or Atkins for two weeks before my surgery, to shrink my liver.  I can beleive how much I weigh 290lb.  I have never been passed 278lb.  Then I had talk to one of the office employees and she said we have to set a date for the surgery.  It was really scarry when she said it.  So May 2, 2007 is my date.  It's going so fast i can't beleive it.

Well I haven't written for a while but I went to my orientation.  Dr Halverson has retired and so im going to have Dr Simper do my surgery.  He  seemed nice.  The orientation just talke about the different kinds of WLS and the risks.  I had gone earlier and picked up my packet and had it already filled out.  The only thing wrong is that they are not a Tri care provider and so they charge 15% more than tri care pays.

Here I am at worked called the Dr. Office today and asked about what I would be paying out of pocket.  Nobody wants to say .  they just keep telling me to come to the class.  Everyone has been giving very good advice and I'm glade I have OH for support.  I think it just hard to wait once you have made upyour mine to do it.  I'm really scarred about a few things and I pray to God this works.
