"My first impression of Dr. Schoen was that he was very caring. My impression changed for the better I knew that he was sincere and not a phony. The staff was great, all were thin, so I felt a little like they might not understand what I was actually going through. Future patients should know that Dr. Schoen is a good doctor and he does care about each person. Dr Schoen really emphasizes on after care and says that our journey really starts there. I do not think that he had a great structured program for that but his nutritionalist did. He did explain the risks of the surgery throughly, and also the risks if I did not have the surgery. I would rate Dr. Schoen as one of the best from what I have heard. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner were great. After surgery he would come in and sit on the couch in my room and just chat with me, like old friends. "
