"I met with Dr. Kamelgard today and I must say I was very impressed with his knowledge of the procedure itself, the risks involved with performing surgery on an MO patient, and the risks that can occur afterward. I appreciated his CLEAR and DETAILED presentation; he didn't sugarcoat anything! He really lets you know what you're getting into, and that he will provide this tool to you, but if you're not going to expend the effort that's needed to maintain your health and optimize your weight loss...forget it! His assistant Kathy was very nice and helpful, and also straightforward; she provided information regarding the support group and aftercare. Aftercare is considered very critical, in fact, it was stressed that it is actually more important than the preop or intraoperative periods. I value both surgical expertise AND bedside manner (gotta have it ALL, ya know!) and Dr. K's got both! Excellent, excellent consultation. I know that I chose wisely."
