I'll start out by saying I've tried for over five years to have the WLS, it just seemed everything was always against me having it done. But I pray this time is different. July 22, 2009 I went to see Dr. Hornbostel. I need to lose 30-35 lbs. in order to have my WLS done in Sedalia,Mo. at Bothwell hospital. So it was suggested I go see my doctor and ask about a diet pill to help me with my weight loss. Dr. Singh put me on Phentermine, Weekly I go weigh and take my BP and call it in to the doctor's office. I took the pill's for 3 month's watched everything I ate and drink and went on my 2 week clear liquid diet before surgery and when I went in for surgery on October 26, 2009. I weighed 425 lbs, but I was dehydrated and after the surgery when I was given fluids in the hospital and started my diet at home, I was re-hydrated and so when I went to see Dr. Hornbostel on November 04, 2009 I weighed 431 lbs. To be honest, I feel more energetic, I can stand way longer then I have ever been able to. I am doing way more house work, laundry, I was so happy to be able to shower without all the pain of standing and bending. I am able to fit behind the driver's wheel of the car and do the seat up.
