I am 55-years old and retired from the federal government.  I worked 32 years in the human resources arena.  I served at all levels, i.e., clerk, assistant, specialist, and mangerial.  I was married in September 2002 to Charlie Bright, my childhood sweetheart.  We dated as teens then went our separate ways for 31 years.  We reunited in April 2002; Charlie asked me to marry him in June 2002, and we were married in September 2002!  Charlie is truly my answer to prayer and  God delivered him literally on my door step!

My current weight is 250 pounds; I am 125 pounds over my goal weight.    I have the following co-morbidities:  diabetes, type 2; diabetic neuropathy; high blood pressure; high tryclicerides; high cholesterol; fatty liver; and hiatal hernia.  I have been heavy since birth.  During my school years, I was much smaller than I am now, but I was always the largest female in my class -- no matter what age or grade you might recall.  Exercise has never been a word in my vocabulary.  I held an office, sit-down job for 32 years.  I have tried many, many diets.  I was successful with most of them, but I always gained back what I lost PLUS MOREI cannot cross my legs or walk up steps or run and jump.  I get winded trying to walk up hill or climb stairs.  I heavily perspire just getting dressed, doing my hair, and applying makeup.

I truly believe that bariactric surgery is my last chance to have a good quality of life, reduce the amount of medication that I am on, and exercise and maintain better health.
