Today I found out I have schnigles. I have been so stressed about the surgery!!! I hope this won't impede w/any surgery date!! I have to have my surgery before 12/31/06 for my insurance to cover!!! I spoke to Laura, my patient advocate and she said we are working on 12/18/06!!! Pending surgery date!! I have so much to do at work. I have to leave my office well prepared or it will fall apart! I need to obtain a temp and finish Christmas cards!! I can't stop thinking about the surgery! I want to be healthy, and I want a BABY! My DH is so WONDERFUL, I know he would be a GREAT DADDY!!!

I was told by my insurance carrier that I would have an answer!!! I spoke to Lindsey a Supervisor and because at my 11/22/06 appointment I had turned in all my paperwork, the Clinical Director was already looking at my paperwork. Lindsey indicated that due to the Holiday, it would be a couple of more days!! I guess I have to wait.... :-(

I met with Dr. Pilcher, We had a great discussion about some of the things I should be expecting as a patient, pre-op, intra-op and post-op. Laura (my patient advocate) has scheduled me for an 8 hour appointment. I will also meet with the PA, Nutritionist, Psychosocial evaluator and a memeber of the on site gym that they offer. During the day I had to take a couple of test and thank GOD I passed them all. Should only be a few weeks from now. I have to stay on top of it, I have a deadline I am working with it... I am so nervous, stressed etc.. I am so happy and grateful that I have my DH to hold my hond through this whole process!!
I'm still waiting for insurance approval.

OMG, I just found out that my insurance, UNITED HEALTHCARE will no longer cover Bariatric Surgery in 2007!!!! I called my patient advocate nurse (Laura) the GREAT, and BEGGED to get me in ASAP...after numerous phones calls, countless emails, they will see me the day before Thanksgiving. Now I really have to work hard to have ALL my paperwork. I want to go to the appointment with all my information so the Dr's. office can submitt immediately... I need to have this surgery before 12/31/06!!! I AM SO STRESSED!

Before you can meet the physician, you must attend a seminar. So today I will attend the informational seminaor at WeightWise.
Came back from the seminar and have alot of great info. My insurance has already been contacted and I have a check off list of items needed to get the ball rolling. I will work EVERYDAY to make sure I have this completed. My appointment is set for 11/29/06. This gives me time to work!!!

I saw my PCP today and all went well. He (JAMES VOSBERG SAN ANTONIO, TX ) fully supports my decision to have WLS and has agreed to draft a letter of need for my insurance carrier. I also, needed a current PAP Smear and had Dr. V, conduct, as my OB/GYN is out of the country until 2007!!
