Food Food Food!
Jan 10, 2009
I went to my first nutritionist appointment this week. I learned all of the right things to eat. When to eat, and why to eat.
Then, I went for my physc evaluation. We discussed eating for a purpose. Eating when I am hungry. Avoiding bad eating habits.
With that being said, I have ate my weight in food over the last few days.
I have ate until I am nearly sick. I am not sure why I am doing this, but I can not seem to stop. I think it may be nerves. I wonder if anyone else done this before surgery?

Doctor Day
Jan 05, 2009
Today was doctor day. You know the day you do the weigh in and blood pressure check. Guess what? I have hypertension. I am now on blood pressure medicine, along with my other 16 pills. Oh well, I could look at it in a bad way or just one more reason to get approved for surgery. I have decided to look at it in a positive light. I now have both of the top two reasons that my insurance pays for surgery. GREAT! LOL
I am really getting worried about this insurance thing. I have heard some horror stories about insurance denying. I pray that they do not deny me.
I have my psych evaluation tomorrow. Wish me luck!
Seminar Day
Jan 02, 2009
Well, I guess started today. I guess I can only move forward now. I guess the scales will be turning back now. I guess a lot of things. I just hope I am right. Mom and I went to bariatric surgery seminar today. I am so surprised that the two of made it to Vanderbilt with out a major accident. There were a few close calls, but we made it home safe and sound. I met doctor Brandon Williams. He explained the different options. I wanted to go with the lap band, but I think gastric bypass will be the best for me. I will talk to my doctor next month. His name is Willie Melvin. I hope I feel comfortable with him.

Under My Desk
Jan 01, 2009
I have dropped my pen and I can’t pick it up!
I dropped my pen today. It rolled way under my desk. It was just a cheap blue pen, but it was the only pen I had. At first, I didn’t think much about it. Then, the phone rang.
Of course, someone wanted to book a cruise. Here I was with a paying customer and my only pen under my desk. I quickly prayed for my children to come to my aide, but they were nowhere to be found. So, I had to do it!
I laid the phone on the desk, and I slowly lowered myself to the floor. At first, I was on my knees. The pen was still just out of my reach. So, I had no choice but to sprawl my fat butt on the floor.
While doing so, I knocked over my chair and the phone setting upon it. After some stretching, I finally retrieved my pen. Now, I had to grab my desk and pull myself up. Bad Mistake!
My desk tilted just a bit. Enough, of course, to knock over all my supplies. Now, I am lying in the floor covered in post-its and paper clips. I am also thanking the Lord that my computer did not fall on my head.
Then, I remember the phone. I knew I had to get to it quick. I decide the safest bet would be to crawl. So, I crawled on hands and knees to the phone. Out of breath, I picked up the phone.
“Sorry about that!” I whisper. The customer of course is gone.
