Onederland!!

Sep 27, 2011

This how I felt after weighing in at my surgeons office yesterday. My A1C is actually in a non-diabetic range of 5.8, triglycerides 137, choloesterall 160, and all vitamin levels are way up in the good range. I am grateful to not have had any complications thus far in 3 1/2 months. My family and close friends have been awsome and supportive. However I must admit I am my best supporter. I plan my meals and snacks carefully, I have re-routed my stress activity from eating to cleaning and organizing my home. My body comfort level has greatly improved along with my energy level. I do still have challenges both physical and mental but they are more managable.   LOVE MY RNY!

PATS !

Jun 08, 2011

Hey Momma! My PATS went well also. I still have a question for them due to my diabetes. They requested a clear liquid diet the day before surgery until midnight. On the list are all regular broths, juices, popcicles etc. I am trying very hard to have my sugars in the lower range. My instincts are to go sugar free, still take the insulin like usual and check my levels every 2 hours.  Other than that I am stoked and ready for the journey. Thanks for writing. Kahwren

Dates!

Jun 01, 2011

My dates for pre-op are 6/6 and RYN surgery 6/14! I am very excited and grateful to be at this point in my journey. Having the usual reservations about any major surgery, however they are only briefly thought about. This journey is a lifelong endeavor that thanks to OH I feel as prepared for as humanly possible. I will continue to post.

Cardio Clear!

May 06, 2011

Had my stress test and echocardiogram. Always hate the treadmill. All went extremely well. Next week psychologic work up and then we can talk surgery dates. I love this website and wide variety of subjects and challenges it covers. Thanks people for letting me share and join.
