"The following statements are my not so humble opinion. The doctor was very understanding and patient. He seems to understand what I am saying about being heavy. His assistant, Renee, is so wonderful. She spends tons of time making sure you understand and then the doctor comes in and answers any more questions and also makes sure that you understand everything. I did not feel that his insurance clerk felt that I was anything special. Just another job to do. She has not been very patient with me. This is MY life at stake here and she seems to feel that I am in the way. She could have done lots to help my wait be easier. She didn't even take the time to sit down and explain what would happen after we saw the doctor. She stood there and said that after the report was typed they would fax it and then wait for an answer. She refused to even look at my husband's company insurance policy that we had brought along. She just said she would call us when she heard from them and directed us out of the office. I think that if I didn't WORK in a doctors office and KNOW how referrals and insurance companies work I might not have been so impatient with this person. The office has a great support group that meets once a month. It has really been helpful to hear a person face to face say the same things that I read here online. It makes it more personal and more comforting I think."
