I am a very giving and likable person. Lately I have felt tired all the time. I have recently been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and sleep apnea. The doctors said I should see a big change in my energy level, but nothing has happened. I am tired living my life around "how much energy is that going to take". After months of testing, I am finally done with that, however, the main insurance girl just left the surgeon's office, and I feel like I am at a standstill. Fall is here in Wisconsin and I wanted to have this surgery before the bad, depressing winter comes.
9/27/06 I found out yesterday that the doctor had sent her letter of necessity to the insurance company (by mail!!). I had used a sample letter from Obesityhelp.com and did my own letter to the insurance company and faxed it. Within 2 hours, they called to request my doctors letter, saying that my letter was good, but they needed something from the doctor. I had the doctor's office fax the letter to the insurance company. The insurance company said they wanted to start working on my request as soon as they got my drs letter. Hopefully I will hear something today! I stayed home from work today because if I hear I want to be alone. It will mean that I am moving onto the next step in my life.
10/5 Have gotten my approval letter Saturday. On Monday, the surgeon herself called me at home to say she was so excited for me. We scheduled my surgery for October 31, 2006 Halloween! I thought that would be appropriate. However on Tuesday morning, the office staff called to say there was a note on my file that surgery was to be on October 31, however there is not assisting physcian that week, so it was rescheduled for November 7. I was a little low thinking how close to Thanksgiving that was. That extra week would have meant alot, but oh well, I am having my surgery. I meet with the nutritionist on Friday, October 6 so we can go over everything I will need in the house and how to do the liquid diet I have to do for the TWO weeks prior. That's going to be the toughest.
