"Dr. Joya gave me complete confidence that he knew exactly what he was doing. Everything went fine for me, which I believe had something to do with following his directions exactly and my age. I would recommend him for people considering WLS surgery without hesitation. His staff is also wonderful. My best advice is to bring someone with you to Mexico to advocate for you in the early post-op period. The nurses don't always understand what you are saying and you are too exhausted to repeat yourself. "
