Mindfulness- staying in the moment

Lately I have been having trouble keeping my thoughts "in the moment"  Today I drove to a drive-thru and sometimes I don't even know how I got there.  Then when I pull up they are in such a hurry to get you through the line that you order what you always order, bad stuff.
I ordered an asian chicken dish and a side caesar salad.  Not bad compared to what I usually get.  Oh, I forgot I also got a pop and a Frosty.  whoops!

How am I going to get off pop and sweets before my surgery?  I have a week and a half before my last supervised weight loss meeting .  I want to stop before then.

Temptations are all around us.  That is why self-talk usually helps.  Positive self-talk can be as powerful as neg. self-talk.  Do any of you self-talk?

Tomorrow I'm going to start writing in my food journal again and see exactly what is going in my mouth.  Change can happen and it starts with one step forward!
