Hi Kathy, I just wanted to tell you that I think you are awesome. I really appreciate your courage in doing the Discovery show. You exposed every facet of morbid obesity. I think it is so great that you have a wonderful son and husband supporting you through the entire ordeal. My favorite part of the show was how supportive your church family was of your decision to have the surgery. I am sure my faith is what will sustain me through the surgery when I do have it. I was able to watch it with my husband and my mother-in-law, and I learned a few things that I did not know. I couldn't wait to get online after the show to see if you had a profile on here. I was so glad that you did! And updated pictures, too. Man girl, you look AWESOME!!! I can't wait to read your book, I am sure there will be a lot of information that a 1 hour show could not handle. Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for being an inspiration! Blessings, Crystal

Hi, Kathy. I have watched your Discovery Health show several times, and each time I find new inspiration. I've just returned home from having the DS and watched again this afternoon. Thank you for sharing so much of yourself and your family with the rest of us. I don't think you will ever know how much it means to me. Kathy, I watched your story and it was very inspiring. I had my RNY in May 2002 and I think it was the greatest thing I ever did for myself. I saw myself in your story, the pain of carrying around the excess weight and the worry and fear of not knowing what life held for me. Now I have an active life and I never look back. Thanks. Susy

Kathy, I have never had the plessure to see your store on DHC but I have read your Profile and it has encouraged me to countiue on my journy to acheive my weight loss goals as well. I am working towards having WLS as well and I have my first consultation on November 4,04 and I'm so excited and I can't wait till then. Sometimes I wish it was all over but I know good thing's come to those who wait and waiting I am. So Thank You for being there and having gone through your journey as you have paved the way for people like me. again Thank You

Kathy, I just watched the Discovery Channel special about your journey and you are such an inspiration!!! You look absolutely fantastic!! I can't imagine how much different you look even now. Thank you for sharing your story. You have given me a lot of courage. God bless your wonderful husband and son for being so supportive too!!
