Yeah...I said UGH!!! Started on my 6 month Dr. supervised diet just to make ins. co. happy, so now I'm looking at December or after for a surgery date. The voices in my head keep telling me not to give up...but they don't know how hard and FRUSTRATING this has been! Not much more going on for now.

Yes, I said denied! Now the fricken ins. co. says they want a 6-month Dr. supervised weight loss regimen. WTF???? Could they have possibly told me that...oh let's say...6 months ago?
Maria at Dr. Hall's office is working with me to try and get things straightened out. It's yet another game of hurry up....and wait! By the way, I HATE THAT GAME!

Everything went well at Dr. Hall's appointment. They are going to send all my stuff to insurance again, once they get copies of my cardiac clearance. Maria was a sweatheart. The consult seemed really long, but that may have just been me, since that was my 2nd time to hear all of that info. My Hubby sat in for this one and it really scared him. To the point of thinking maybe there's something else to try. Dr. Hall said that open RNY would be best for me, so I'm a little more scared now, because I really wanted to do it laproscopically. That's all for now...I'll update as I get more info.

I have an appointment with Dr. Hall on March 17th, so maybe I'm finally back on track. Luckily all of my previous testing and paperwork will transfer. I will update again when I know more.

So...it's been a while and I thought I should update! I'm still in the process of trying to get all of my stuff transfered from Dr. Frezza to Dr. Hall. Another hitch I never thought I would have to deal with. I'm keeping my spirits up though. Right now I'm hoping for a date for a laproscopic RNY sometime in April. End of March would be even better, but I'm not going to hold my breath! LOL

So, it's a new year, and my plans for a VSG have been completely derailed! My ins. has refused to cover a VSG, saying it is still experimental! That's even after a tele-conference call from my surgeon! So, now one of my options is to switch to a different surgeon named Dr. Hall, and have a roux-en-y. All of my research...down the drain! I feel so hopeless right now!
I'm not sure what is going to happen, so for now i'll just try to keep it together!

Here it is December 10, and I'm still waiting for my paperwork to be submitted to insurance! Not much more to say...but I'm getting really tired of being told a million different stories by a million different people concerning my paperwork at the Dr's office! Lord give me some extra patience, PLEASE!

Well, it's almost Thanksgiving and I really don't feel any closer to getting a date. According to Sarah at Dr. Frezza's office my paperwork should have been submitted yesterday to insurance, so I will call again on friday and check the status. This waiting game is about to get me down! 
The holidays aren't helping much either. I just can't get into the spirit this year! Maybe it will come, even if it is running a bit late!

10/16/07- Well today is my birthday and it was a happy one, I guess. I finally have all of my pre-op testing done, so I'm getting really anxious for a surgery date now! Let me tell you...the cardiologist clearance was THE WORST. I didn't run on the treadmill like I had thought....noooo, they injected this stuff into my IV that made me feel the worst I have ever felt in my life, and I have had 2 children! It took me like 2 days to feel normal again. The only "good" thing to come out of that whole ordeal was that I passed everything with flying colors! THANK GOODNESS! Now if I could just get a date!

9/26/07 I am on the downhill side of getting all of my pre-op testing done. I only have 2 appts. left in October. One with the cardiologist and the other with the pulmonologist, and they are both scheduled for the same day. One a.m. and one p.m.! I am anxious to get a surgery date, and I'm hoping it will be during the Christmas break. I own a Home Daycare, and the extra help from my Boys once I go back to work would be great. Hey, a girl can hope can't she?
