I'm 26 years old and a healthcare professional. I'm struggled with my weight all of my life. I was heavy through out middle and high school. I did lose a bit of weight before my senior year of high school but eventually gained it back because I thought that I could eat whatever I wanted. I was very wrong. After I graduated from high school and started college in the fall I started to steadily gain weight. I think part of it was because I was studying all the time and not really paying attention to what I was eating. I think the other part was because I worked at a restaurant at that time. .My weight only go worse when accepted into nursing school and I probably gained about 40lbs. I had tried weight watchers on and off but I was always on the go and would go for the fast food because of its convenience.
I've been making various attempts at weight loss. I joined the Beaumont diet program and did that for a few months before I determined that a normal person could not possibly live on protein shakes and veggies. I'm now considering WLS because of some health problems I have.
