Hey friends of mine, I posted a new pic yesterday.  Just look at my avatar pic as 'before' and new one as 'almost after'.  Everything has been going well.  Haven't been in to the chatroom, but have been missing all of you.  Take care and keep in touch!!  109 lbs gone now, i am under 200, yay!!!

Hey friends I hope you are all well!!  I wanted to tell you all about yesterday and also thank you to my friends who recently have replied to blog entries or emails that I have not responded to:  I think you are wonderful and I have been a bit ill, so sorry for not personally responding and will catch up to you when I can.  I have been attending the gym 4-5 times a week on the "maintenance plan", doing aqua-therapy and am really getting firmed up.  I attended the Borgess Bariatric Reunion yesterday, which is a reunion for any patient of Borgess Hospital who has had bariatric surgery in the past.  It is the fifth year they have had this and it went great.  They also had a fashion show during the reunion, with clothes from Macy's, which was pretty sweet.  They had some really sharp dresses and outfits that would fit me, so I was excited to see them, much to my hubby's dismay, LOL!!  I wore a dress to the event, which is the first dress I have worn in about five years.  I had one of the nurses from my surgeon's office approach me and tell me that I looked absolutely beautiful, and my husband even told me that I really did look stunning over the table at dinner...which made me feel really special.  Dr. Verseman gave me my certificate to the Century Club, for losing one hundred pounds, and it is pretty cool.  He also gave me a big hug, and I teared up a littlle bit.  We had a really good time going out, and afterward, at Olive Garden, where we went for dinner to celebrate, I sat up straight and felt really proud of myself,  It is nice to feel good about the way I look.  Hope to hear from everybody soon, please feel free to write or call and I will do what I can to write back.  Love you guys.  Thanks for taking the time to read my babbling.

I dont have a lot to report, except that I hit the gym every day this week except one, and I am five pounds (5.2 actually...from being under 200 lbs!  Yay!!  I started out at 307 and am just about four and a half months post op. Take care, my friends, and keep the faith.  I know it is gonna happen for me...just gotta be patient and exercise!!!!  :)))

I am keeping this short and sweet, as this blog seems to disappear each time I write it:  I have, since Dec 06, 2011, lost 95 pounds, and 35.5 inches!!  I miss my friends, so if you are reading this, and we are friends, I would love to hear from you.  Just got out of the hospital, where I spent a week battling double pneumonia, and am healing up from that right now.  Love you guys!!

Hello my lovelies....hope this finds you all doing wonderfully.  I am just stopping in to let you all know I am doing just great.  And to say thank you to those of you who keep checking on me, and who have not gotten a response from me...you know who you are :))) I have been away from my computer: a) Koty picked up a virus on the computer and had to get it fixed, b)was out of town for a week, and c) got sick with a really nasty cold, but am better now....

I have lost EIGHTY POUNDS,.. can you believe it?  I just about can't .  Actually, I am about three pounds away from eighty but I am so excited I had to tell you guys.  :))))   I am not sure how many inches I have lost, but have gone down four sizes and can buy regular size clothes now...no more Lane Bryant :)  woo hooo!!!

I saw my surgeon this week and she was very pleased, but warned me that I am losing too quickly, and that I can expect it to slow down any time, and that when tht happens to not freak out.  So, I expect it to happen anytime.  But am happy anyway :)  WOO HOO- HAPPY DANCE :)   Take care everybody and will keep you all updated as much as I can.  Still have this nasty cold and am in bed resting for a few days.

Oh, started my aqua therapy/physical therapy for strengthening at the gym with a trainer.  So cool!  Later, my friends....

To my loyal followers:  Hello, and thank you so much for your concern, those of you who have checked in with me to make sure I am still breathin.  I am.  I am doing well.  The wounds are healing nicely and i have lost a whole SEVENTY POUNDS!!  I believe I have hit my first stall, which I am sure will not be my last...but after seventy pounds, I can live with that.  My husband says my butt is falling off, so I say, that is a good thing. :)   I am just getting started, so look out!!

Four days out and got brave enough to step on a scale last night, down 11 pounds already, woo hooo!!  I can very safely say I would love nothing more than to never drink another low-carb slimfast as long as i live ,but i guess it is working even if it tastes yukky.  Doing my sipping, sucking and walking and looking so forward to eating mashed potatoes next week.  Everything went as planned, no complications, except pain , but at home now and trying to keep the weiner dog from bouncing up on my belly to share my blanket.  OUCh...  that weiner dog weighs only 18 pounds, but he feels like a big dog on my belly..  More in a few days.  Thanks for all the messages and good wishes,  You guys are the best.  I have great friends.  :))   Tam

Well friends, it is now T-minus 17 hours and 30 minutes before surgery.  I am so excited I can hardly contain myself.  My poor Mum is here and she is so worried and nervous, and I feel like I should be scared, but for some strange reason, I am not.  Gonna keep this short today.  Wish me lots of luck.  Also best of luck to surgery mate Mike in Baltimore who goes a few hours after me.  Best wishes Mike!!!   I haven't written for a couple of weeks,  but not because I am not excited.  I am AMPED!!  i AM SO GLAD it is almost here.  I am nearly beside myself with anticipation.  Had my last appointments on Weds. with my nutritionist, my surgeon and my family doctor, all which went well, and I am now on my way!  I do have my angel, and that is MICHFAN77.  If, by chance, you want any info on me, please contact him (Joe), and he should be up to speed on my condition at all times.  He can also pass on messages to me, which would be most welcome!!  That is about all.  Send lots of positive thoughts my way, friends!  Also, at this time, I weigh 270.  (Started this journey at 307).  I hope to report that this has gone down by the time I write again. :)

Well, I got my confirmation email today from the surgeon.  I have my preop testing on Monday the 28th and then my final once over with my PMD and the surgeon both on Weds the 30th.  I am so excited.  I didnt seem quite real until today I think.  Now that i have seen it printed out in an email from the surgeon's office, it seems very real and very soon.  It is even worth missing my Grandma's stuffing on Thanksgiving.  (ok, I will miss it!)  But it's worth it!!  YAY!
