Insurance
Dec 12, 2012
I received my approval letter in the mail this weekend but it did not coincide with the one the doctor received. Fortunately, I called the insurance company on Monday and everything was sorted. I am glad this has been my only bump so far.
Next Wednesday is my pre-op class, and I have already attended one with my mother, so I know what post-op life will be like. I am beginning to get a little nervous about going under anesthesia. 15 Days until my surgery.

Dec 05, 2012
I have completed all the required tests, letters from my doctor, and visits. I have decided to go with Dr. William Johnson as my surgeon, he is also with Atlanta Bariatrics. Right now, I am waiting to hear that the insurance has approved my surgery. Looking forward to setting my surgery date.
I have already given up alcohol and carbonated beverages. I have started drinking 64 + ounces of water/crystal light every day. I have also started exercising. I really enjoy doing Zumba
Hello
Nov 01, 2012
Hello, my name is Katy. I am 24 years old and I weigh 295 pounds. I have always struggled with my weight and I have been over 200 lbs since I was 11 years old or in the 6th grade. I have tried weight watchers, low carb, low fat, counting calories, nutri system, and phenteramine diet pills. I can lose some weight, but I always hit a plateau and get very discouraged. I recently finished up my masters thesis and I want to get healthy, not only for my physical health but for my mental health. I realized this year, that my weight has kept my self-confidence and self-worth very low. I allow people to take advantage of me because I think that they will not like me if I am not a nice and bubbly person. I am choosing to have the gastric bypass Roux en-Y because it will help increase the quality of my life physically, mentally, and emotionally.
