I am a 39 year old, tipping the scales at  217, my highest weight was 228, I am a type-1 diabetic, I have high cholosterol ,nueropathy, and I have devoloped a  resistance to insulin. I am on the insulin pump and now pumping in twice the amount of insulin that I did say 6 months ago.
    When I finally made the choice to explore weight loss surgery, I read soooo many things that can happen from this surgery, Stemming from the very worst, moving on up to the best. I finally made the choice in October of 2010 to take the next step, So  got my referal from my PCM and had my first orientation on Nov,04,2010. Then wow everything moved along faster then i thought,( Thank the lord for walk-in's )
I had my EKG, Labs,and chest x-rays all done on November 5,2010. I received the call from my surgens office on December 6th to schedule my first appointment with him, Ok now I will see Dr. Barker on Jan 03,2011. After I saw him, he let me know I had to go see Nutrition, and Psychology, I called to schedule those appointments and  had those scheduled for Psych on Jan 11,2011 and nutrition on Jan 26,2011, headed back for my second appt. with my surgen on Feb 23,2011. wow and now I have my surgery date March 23,2011.
