It has been a long journey for me. I have always been the overweight kid in school.
I have been looking into WLS for some time, but was always scared to make the move. I was worried about the future and how someone like me could survive without all the comfort food.
I have three kids in which I am very proud to be there Dad. Last year my family and I had an extreme scare and I ended up in the ICU of the local hospital.
Surprisingly, it was not a heart issue but a major infection within my body. My family came quickly and was there for me. At that time, I realized I have to start living a better life.
I love playing with the kids; it really makes my day after a hard day's work. I want to be able to be here and ensure that I am there for them.
It was time to get over the "scare" and do something......Here I am..and I am ready!
