J. Timothy Katzen

"Dr. Katzen is a great doctor. If you are an African American, and worried about scars, like I was, Dr. Katzen is the one to see. While he cannot guarantee perfect results, like any doctor, his skill has left me with minimal scarring. One of the many things issues that trouble wl patients is the excess skin. Dr. Katzen actually specializes in baractric and extreme weight loss patients. Most PS that I saw prior to my going to Dr. Katzen wanted to perform the same procedure, thigh lift T-incision on the thighs - groin to knee and arm lift pit to elbow, even though I didn't have extra skin at the joint region. This meant no matter what I was going to have a long scar. Finally, I met Dr. Katzen, who gave me other options to the procedures that I wanted. You spend years trying to get the weight off, the last thing you want is a large reminder of how far you came. I didn't want to spend the rest of my life hiding scars the same way I hide my body in obesity. Nearly a year and a half my plastic surgery, I am still amazed what a wonderful job he did on my butt and thigh lift. The butt lift scars are in the perfect position and nearly undetectable. I can't say enough about Dr. Katzen. My thigh lift scars have nearly completely faded. Words cannot express how much Dr. Katzen has changed my life, but he helped save one as well. He helped counsel my aunt whose daughter was on the verge of death. He was able to provide an unbiased opinion which helped my aunt make a decision that ultimately saved my cousin's life. Thanks just doesn't say enough."

Temple Community Hospital

"My fiance was able to spend the night in my private room. I found this wonderful. Patients were able to have visitors for as long as they like. And that made for a more pleasant experience. I unfortuately was located by a very vocal woman in an adjacent room who often made her needs very vocal. Other than that... I have nothing but high marks for Temple. "

Jamshid Nazarian

"Dr. Nazarian was my very first choice after researching surgeons in my area. He is a very humble man who takes his work very seriously. I was rather depressed prior to my surgery when it had to be rescheduled so that I could obtain additional clearances. But the two additional weeks that I had to wait actually helped alievate all my anxiety about having the surgery. Dr. Nazarian's staff is a menagerie of young and old, spanish and arab speaking people. All of which are extremely kind and caring. Dr. Nazarian's baratric coordinator, Rick Mark, helped me expediate the process. Unfortunately I learned that Rick had accepted a new position within the liv-lite organization which has him moving to the East Coast, I was both disappointed and happy for him. Dr. Nazarian has a very structured aftercare program. He has certain criteria that he really likes his patients to follow but he is very understanding in that some people have different requirements than others. He provides you with support and jokes on occasion. One of the reason's I chose Dr. Nazarian is because of his expertise. He has done over 2000 operations with no fatalities and a minute number of revisions. He works only with physicans that he trusts during your surgery. But the plus about that is all of the doctors are equally as special as he. If you have any questions about the surgery or your surgeon, I believe that you wouldn't have them from Dr. Nazarian."

Jamshid Nazarian

"I actually sought out Dr. Nazarian for my surgery. He is a very soft spoken man who truly believes in looking out for the best interest of his patients. He is highly through and cares about the well being of his patients. He doesn't have the Cattle Herd mentality and tries to get to know each patient closely."

Benjamin Hulkower

"Dr. Hulkower is a great psychologist. He has dealt with his own battle with obesity. He is very personable and can easily relate to our problems with having self-esteem and body image issues. But the great thing about dr. H. is that he is very funny. His ability to make a very serious situation a humorous one is extremely important."

Sophia Vaisman

"Dr. Vaisman is great. She is hard to get in to see, but her bedside manner and attention to the patient's needs is superb. Her office staff needs work, but if you can get past the office help you will find that she is a great doctor."
