I had RNY gastric bypass surgery on April 1, 2004. By the time I was 13 months post op, I had lost 105 lbs and found myself down to 215 lbs from 320 lbs. I also found myself pregnant with our first child!! It was a very exciting time for both my husband and I because at 320 lbs, I was never able to conceive. I gained minimal weight with my pregnancy, 12 lbs and lost this immediately after giving birth. Over the years, I slowly put on weight, but not much. Five years later, in March of 2009 I found myself weighing around 235 lbs.... I also found myself pregnant again with out second child! This time I was not so lucky, I got up to 275 lbs with the pregnancy of my second child. After giving birth, I was around 255-260 in November 2010. This is when I began looking into revision surgery. After many insurance denials, I finally got my insurance to cover my revision surgery by hiring an attorney to take legal action upon them. My surgery was August 31. So, that is my story!
