I am currently 26 years old. I have been overweight since I was 9 years old. I am currently at 344 at 5'6". I haven't been under 200 lbs since I was in 7th grade. That's why my goal is 199 or less. I am happily married to a wonderful man named Ralph. He loves me just the way I am, but I am not happy and not healthy in my current body. Ralph and my mom are my main supporters in this journey. My greatest wish is to get healthy enough and to lose enough weight to have a baby. Due to obesity, I am struggling with infertility, among many other health problems. It breaks my heart every day. It breaks my heart for my husband too, because it's MY body failing, and he deserves a wife that can have his children. Enter: the Lap-Band!!!
If I am successful, my husband is also going to be having the surgery next year. I'm so excited to start a new chapter! I have had my consult, seen the nutritionist and the psychiatrist, have authorization from my insurance, leave at work, and surgery scheduled..... Now I'm just waiting until July 20, 2007 for the big day!
