I started my weight loss journey on 1/15/2009 at 333 pounds. I did the usually things, went to the introduction meeting, seen a nutritionist, my nurse and a psychologist. On August 25th, I found out that insurance had approved, and my surgery date was set for 9/28/2009. The day of surgery I had lost 42 pounds to prepare. Surgery went really well, I only spent one night in the hospital and when I went home I did not have any need for pain medication. After my 1 week checkup I had lost another 6 pounds, so things are going well!
Very happy that I have done this and can't wait to keep getting smaller and healthier.
