Called Jackie today to find out if it was ok to come by to bring the STD packet from my job. I asked if the 11th was set in stone and she said no she has to check with the hospital.  I am NOT going to let them stress me. So how are you guys. Having a good year so far? I am going to do the Psych evaluation today. So I will let you know what is going on later.... HOLLA!

Last Week I threw out Worrying, it was getting old and in the way. It kept me from being me; I couldn't do things God's way. I threw out a book on MY PAST (Didn't have time to read it anyway). Replaced it with NEW GOALS, started reading it today. I threw out hate and bad memories, (Remember how I treasured them so)? Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too, threw out the one from long ago. Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL, AND I MUST. Threw out I might, I think and I ought. WOW, you should've seen the dust. I ran across an OLD FRIEND, I hadn't talked to in a while. His name is GOD the Father, and I really like His style. He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself. Like PRAYER, HOPE, FAITH and LOVE, Yes I placed them right on the shelf. I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door. I FOUND IT- its called PEACE. Nothing gets me down anymore. Yes, I've got my house looking nice. Looks good around the place. For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn't any space. It's good to do a little house cleaning, Get rid of the things on the shelf. It sure makes things brighter; maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF. BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!

So finally got to talk to Jackie at Dr. Williams office they are changing my surgery date to the 11th. She said the 8th was a "dummy" date so she will call the insurance company and let them know what the real date is which is the 11th. Anyway its still next week so I am ok. I have my Psych evaluation tomorrow at 3:30pm so that is the last thing that has to be done.So we are all set. Nine days to go until the real me is set free.

Called the Doctor's office and they are just getting in spoke to Jackie and told her that I had called the insurance company and they had gave me a confimation number and she said that is an approval number. She pulled my file and I told that the insurance company said that the surgery was scheduled for the 8th. She said that I needed a Psych evaluation and a Nutrition evaluation. I told that they were suppose to set up the Psych before they went on vacation and I already have a Nutrition evaluation. So she said that if I could get my Nutrition evaluation sent over to them she can work on the Psych evalution so that I can keep my surgery date. So I got on the horn and called St. Mary's Hospital Medical records Department to see if they could fax over my evaluation and of course I went to voicemail. So I left a message. Then I decided to call Dr. Duncan's office to see if they had it and spoke to Nick and told him what was going on he put me on hold to make sure that my Nutrition evaluation is in my records there and THEY ARE... so he said that all Dr. Williams office has to do is call them and they will fax over anything that they need. So I called back to Dr. Williams office and Jackie is on the phone so I left the message with receptionist to give to her. I will call them back after lunch to see what progress they have made.... Keep your fingers crossed !  Also talked to a lady a Curves and she said a lot of their clients that had WLS do not have a lot of excess skin so I will be continuing the Curves exercise plan when I am able.

Well everyone we have made it to 2007 can you believe it is 2007? I remember when the movies made it seem like 2000 and above were a long way away, but here we are in 2007. Man isn't that a miracle to make it this far. Thank you LORD that we all have made it with your help. So tomorrow is the day... we will find out what Dr. Williams office needs for me to do before the 8th. If you haven't been keeping up with my rantings.... UHC told me last week that my surgery was approved and that the date of the surgery is on the 8th of January. So lets see what Dr. Williams office have to say about that. I looked at my personal health record on myuhc.com and saw that I as of April 2006 I was considered morbid obese( thank you Dr. Duncan!) I think that if I hadn't went to Dr. Duncan's office I would not have gotten approved so quickly. The sad part about it is if I hadn't gotten scared I may have already had the surgery. Its all good though because I am heading in the right direction now! 
Now let's talk about something else I want to start a support group. Is anyone interested? I want to meet like on Sunday after church or another day according on how many people and what is convient for everyone. Just something for us to do chill out and help each other.  Let me know what you think.  Talk to you guys tomorrow and let you know what Dr. Williams office said.

So you know when things are going your way the devil ALWAYS have to try you. Anyway for those that know and those who don't remember... I work in the information technology field. So.... my job is 24/7/365. NEVER SHUTS DOWN. Needless to say someone has to ALWAYS be here. So my coworker is off until the 15th of January and according to the insurance company my surgery date is the 8th. So technically.... I am not suppose to take off until AFTER the 15th. You know I said BITE ME!   They will have to get SOMEONE...ANYONE... I DON"T WHICH ONE... to work so I can get- her- done.  I am finished venting so... how is everyone? Hi everyone, 
 I called the insurance company today to find out what the fax number was so that I could send my predetermination letter. The guy checked and he said that they did not have it. I asked if they had a fax number that the letter could be sent to and he gave me the number to the department that approves the procedure because they would have a better fax number. I called the number that he gave me and the lady told me that it was a covered procedure and asked if the surgery date was still 1/8/07. I asked if that meant that it was approved and she said YES! as long as the surgery date, doctor and hospital is still the same. THANK YOU JESUS!  I tried to call my doctor's office but they are closed until the 2nd. So I will have to wait to see what else I need to do once they get back. Again I say THANK YOU JESUS!

Hi guys I called UHC at 2:46pm today to see if they had received my predetermination paperwork they said  they haven't recieved it yet so here we go with this waiting thing. My letter was sent out on the 8th and it is now the 26 it has been almost 20 days so I will wait until next week to see if they have received it yet. I wish I knew what department to call so that I could get the most up to date information. Anyhoo.... I will talk to you guys soon.

Hi everyone, 

Of course you know that the holidays are bad. So my on the way out the door husband was gettting on my LAST NERVE the WHOLE weekend. I finally had to cut off all my phones. It is time to trim some fat in my life of course you know fat can be anything and in my case it is my weight and my husband. 2007 is going to be a new year just like all the other new years the difference is that I am taking control of my life. No more crap from NOW on. I am not waiting until 2007 to get my world together. 
Enough for now how is everyone??? Hope that you all had a wonderful holiday and a BLESSED new year. Talk to you soon.

Well I am still waiting on word that my insurance has approved me for surgery. They say it will take up to 2 months.   TWO MONTHS feel like a longgggg time. I read over the letter that was sent to UHC and I was shocked at the amount of weight that I am over for my height. My best friend thinks that they lied but I have looked at the scale and they are right. Its a good thing I don't look as bad as my weight actually is. It is very sad that I have gained so much weight but it is time for me to change my life. I promised myself that I would not turn 40 and be this big. Man Feb. 9 is a long time to wait for an answer, but at least I will know what to do. I am going to get this surgery even if I have to pay for it myself. Its a lot of money but it is going to be worth it for me. I just can't go on living like this. I know my kids are embarrased even if they don't say so. They are my kids and they love me but I know when the time comes for them to take the "parent and me" photo at school they would rather for me to be a lot smaller. Anyway I have vented enough for today. Pray for me and I will pray for all of you.
