My name is Amber Waddell, I am 25 years old. I am married and have two daughters. I had the Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy on June 11th, 2010 with Dr. Alvarez in Mexico. (Endobariatric)
Starting Stats: 350 lbs | 5'7 | 18 years old | PCOS | Depression | Anxiety | Pre-Diabetic |
Now: 8 Years POST VSG | 150 pounds | 25 Years Old | PCOS BUT had 2 children | Plastics on Arms (2012) , Stomach & Breasts (2014) , and Legs (2/7/17)
I am now active on social media to try and reach as many people as possible. I'm ready to share my journey with WLS and life after WLS. I also would love to connect with the younger generation since I lived through childhood obesity and had WLS when I was only 18 years old. I'm ready to share it all and support those who are thinking about surgery or who have had surgery. I feel it's important to celebrate the success that comes with WLS but also acknowledge the hard times as well- and always keep a positive mindset.
