 I haven't written in a while so I am happy to say I will be getting surgery Monday!!! I have been so blessed to have my coworkers and close friends be encouraging and supporting however my family is a different story. They don't want me to do it. I'm so sick of hearing the negativity and lack of support I don't even know how to handle it anymore. I try to avoid the topic but it always comes out. I think they are Nervous for me and I get that but I also think it is a little bit of selfishness. I feel like they are mad because I won't be indulging in food anymore like we used to and it makes them feel guilty. I don't know but whatever it is, I'm over it and ready to prove them all wrong. I'm stoked!!!

Okay., so this is my first post. I had my first consultation with Dr. Halmi and he seems wonderful! He ordered a sleep study for me to do i guess to see if I have sleep apnea (I don't see how a sleep study will tell them because I can never fall asleep anywhere but my own bed!! ) and says that I am a good candidate. I have high blood pressure and was just put on medication to help lower it. I feel like I am falling apart!! I am so nervous about all of this and wish i never had to go through a surgery to lose weight. I have six months of diet and exercise before I get approved by my insurance. My first appt with my dr. for that is on tuesday....so we will see.

Anyone with any words of encouragement? or advice??
