Where do I start? I am currently 302 lbs.  I've been heavy since childhood but was able to maintain a decent weight thru highschool.  I was married very young shortly after I graduated and slowly began to put weight on.  At that time I was maintaining a fairly average weight around 150 lbs.  After getting married and moving away from my hometown I slowly crept up in weight eventually ending up around 200 lbs. When I became pregnant with my daughter I gained between 50 and 60 lbs, because lets face it a lot of us think -I'm pregnant, I am eating for two!!  Only problem with that was it didn't come off afterwards.  Not only did I weigh about 260 lbs but then continued to put on another 40 or so lbs for the next 8 years which leads to my current weight.  I just recently within the past three months slapped my hands together and said- ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE!!! I am extremely disappointed that I did not look into WLS sooner.  Unlike many, I have found that the "pathway" that I had to take to be approved for surgery was very simple.  Actually, we are military and I will be having surgery at Madigan Army Hospital so "approval" didn't even happen.  Just classes and meetings and of course the infamous "Psych Eval".  So that is all done and under my belt-well elastic waste band anyway. Now I am in countdown mode waiting for my surgery day nervously.  I am so excited I think I might pee!!
