Sixteen Days

Well, it's been 16 days, and things are pretty good.  I was tired, and I took pain meds for the first week.  I still tire easy, and run out of steam early, but all and all I think I'm doing well.  I had no gas shoulder pain like I did with the band, and no bad allergic reaction, because the doctor didn't use steri-strips.  The drain was in a week, and it put out lots and lots of fluid.  I was using washcloths at the incision site instead of pads, and that kept the mess down.  Not fun! I'm still tender, though not sore.  I'm off the "liquids only" phase, and eating mushies.  I got stuck tonight for the first time, I did slime, just like I use to do, and I threw up a little bit of the stuck stuff, so there are similarities between the sleeve and the band.  I also had some dumping once after eating a cream soup.  I guess all this was bound to happen.  It was just a question of when.  I also had a setback, because the Nutra Medix vitamins made me very very ill.  The doctor says to go back to Centrum complete. 
Down 24 pounds.  Yay me!!!
