Like many, I have struggled with my weight well...FOREVER! My brother got the fast, great metabolism, me- I got nada. (How fair is that lol) I've tried just about every diet, plan, program,  lifetstyle change.... out there. I did have some nice success. However, it never lasted for any length of time. About  2 years ago, I had been doing Weight Watchers, having really good progress, even got down to my smallest size  EVER, then of course I started to slack off and the next thing I knew I had gained like 85pounds- which was way more than I started with.
Very long story short, I started to gather info re: Bypass surgery and then learned about Lapband. I decided to just meet with a Dr to see what they would say.  See I'm 4'11 and weight about 211 pounds so in my goofy mind, I thought the Dr just might kick me out of their office.   When he told me that I qualify , I actually just sat there and was like, okay well I'll think about things and get back to you. Thanks......
See I really believed it was my destiny to suffer/struggle with this my whole life. Well thank goodness I was wrong. (I've never been so relieved to be wrong!) SO after my finacee and I talked things over ( 30 minutes tops) I called my Dr's office back and asked them to submit the necessary paperwork to my insurance company.  The rest is history. ... I have lapband surgery on Oct. 16th and am really nervous and hopeful about what lies ahead for me in the future re: my body/health. I could go on but, the bottomline is I am doing this for myself, yes some might say this is drastic but I am fully aware of the decision I am making and feel good about it.    Thanks for reading, please feel free to contact me anytime. I really have nothing to hide- shoot I  just told everyone my weight- what else is there. LOL  Good luck and best wishes to all

Kim
