Just updating

Jun 23, 2009

Well, I'm now 23 weeks preggo and found out that I'm having another little boy....guess this is the last baby, huh! My hubby is very happy....he was secretly hoping for another boy. This pregnancy is a little different. All my weight seems to be "just baby" so my fears of becoming obese again have subsided.

Well, at least I won't have too buy too many new clothes for the little one. I still have clothes that John-John didn't wear!

Thanks for all the congrats and well wishes from my OBH friends!

The third vision has come to past

Mar 24, 2009

I've always been a little clairvoyant or whatever the term you want to use that makes you more comfortable and after trying two years ago to have my 3rd child instead of surgery, I thought that it was over. Well, I ended up surprised and found out that I'm having a little one...I'm a little frightened....wondering what things I have to keep in check since I had gastric bypass surgery and I was already having a time trying to absorb iron...so much so that I have had to have IV iron fusions. Keep me in your prayers....and wink, wink...pray that it is the 2nd girl that I've always envisioned. My little boy is already a hand full and then some...LOL

Big Medicine and just general convo

Jan 11, 2008

I watched the new episode this week. Did you get a chance to watch it? How about the wifey that had plastic surgery? She looked good, didn't she? Now I'm thinking in a couple of years...it probably would be nice but the hubby and I were also discussing either expanding the house or purchasing a new one...decisions, decisions,....bills, bills....

I'm still leaning towards a new house. We really need a guest room. We have a lot of extended family and it would be nice if everyone had a little more room. I'd also like to have a bonus room.

Did anyone get the Wii system or get to play it yet? I highly recommend getting one. It has been fun playing with the kids and at least you have to be a little more active than other video game systems when you play it. We have been "bowling" like crazy ever since my daughter opened hers for Christmas.

Christmas time is calling...

Dec 15, 2007

Oh, I'm just like a KID when it comes to Christmas time! I can't believe that it's been a year since I've had surgery. I went to Dr. Enoch's office and found out that I have surpassed my goal for weight loss....Yay! LOL! Now I have to keep on the maintenance track.

For my one-year anniversary, I got a certificate for a local photographer to have a professional "after" picture done. I'll let you know when I've taken it and I'll try to post a copy. At work, it is an EXTREMELY busy time of year. We are getting ready for a big software release so I hardly have time for anything besides sleeping and family time. But I hope to make an appointment with the photographer to take a pic soon. Our company party is in January so maybe I will take a picture with the hubby then and post that. I can't believe that I won't have to shop at Lane Bryant anymore for a formal. That I'll be able to catch an EXCELLENT sale on a size 9 or 11 and wear that to a party. My husband isn't at his goal weight yet so he'll probably say that he doesn't want to go....again. Sigh....I guess I'm used to that now. Pray that he'll want to go anyway....

I promise to get better about bloggin'.....

Peace,
Mary

HATE

...a word that I try not to overuse because you dilute its strength or intent....but losing weight....you'd better get used to thinking it sometime. One of my "friends" that likes to use "passive-aggressive" language said to me about my weight loss..."Wow, you've really lost weight. Are you close to your goal?" When I answered her question, she responded "Don't lose too much more or you'll look like a scarecrow!"....Like I'm dayum near a sandwich away from looking like the character from "The Wiz"....After I let that comment simmer, I got HEATED....LOL!  But my hubby said "It's hate, babe...get used to it. People were comfortable when you were the "fat Chick"."

Things get better

Oct 15, 2007

Well, I'm happy to report that after last week's trials and tribulations with my home and automobile, that God came through once again. The adjuster already gave us a check, Praise The Lord, and I purchased another vehicle that can take me to work so that I can continue to take care of the family. God is good all the time and all the time God is good....despite my shortcomings...

Reality

Oct 08, 2007

OK, this rant has nothing to do with weight loss but...I'm sitting at home instead of going to work because my car needs a new "body control module". I paid for an extended warranty and now I have to wait to see if the company I purchased this warranty from will cover it. I DETEST having to buy a car whether it is new or old. You're guaranteed to have at least a recall and having to take it to the shop for things other than routine maintenance. Oh, it has been a wonderful weekend. I also had a "leak" coming in the wall and roof of my daughter's room. The A/C's drain pain was full because it was frozen outside (I am aware that it is 90 degrees outside...lol) so we had to pay a service tech 85 dollars just to step on our property, then another 100 dollars for him to add freon and tell me that I need a new drain pan. We had to call our property insurance to file a claim and now I have to wait on an adjuster...Another one of my FAVORITE people to deal with...LOL

Pray for me...so far I've stayed calm....I don't want to explode on any of these people if they tell me something I don't want to hear...LOL
